Welcome! My name is Hunter Allen, and I am a Digital Illustrator based in Vancouver, Canada. In 2016, I left my home in Memphis, Tennessee, and began the move up North.
Over the last eight years, I have truly found a better sense of who I am, and what I aspire to do with my life. In this new chapter, I have re-discovered my love for drawing, and have begun pursuing illustration as a career.
I work almost exclusively digitally using Clip Studio Paint. Working in a digital medium has allowed me to work in a range of styles, from sketchy greyscale pieces to bright, colorful cartoons.
My art is often inspired by the works of Junji Ito and video games.
I have also worked on a number of projects, including "Almost Home" #1-3 & the VFS Game of the Year, "Dad to the Bone."
Collaboration has often been a key component to my success, and having the opportunity to work with other local artists has been an incredible motivator throughout my career thus far.
(Pictured is myself, along with Crash Test Comics, at Vancouver Comic Con at Heritage Hall on September 11, 2022. This was our first convention selling the first issue of "Almost Home", as well as my first opportunity to sell my art as prints & stickers.)
Having versatility in my art styles has opened up so much potential in my art trajectory, and I am so excited to share with you where my journey leads!
(Pictured is my own table featuring prints & stickers of my art for sale at Metropolis Comics & Toys' TMNT-themed "The Next Mutation" Art Show on November 25th, 2023.)
